About Sean

Sean (All Pronouns) is a queer, Korean-American actor, filmmaker, and storyteller who finds meaning in the in-between spaces—the moments where identity, memory, and artistry collide. Their work is a testament to resilience, an unflinching exploration of truth, and a love letter to the transformative power of storytelling.

A graduate of Jacksonville University with a degree in Social Science and minors in Film, Music, and Education, Sean moves through the world with an insatiable curiosity, weaving lived experience into every role, every frame, every note. They are drawn to characters who linger—caretakers, outsiders, complicated souls searching for something just beyond reach. As an actor, writer, director, and producer, Sean approaches every project holistically, shaping narratives that ache with honesty and pulse with life.

On stage, their artistry has carved a path through some of New York’s most revered venues—Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, The Town Hall, and Barclays Center. Their choreographic work for TONEWALL, part of the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, earned back-to-back Best Choreography awards at the International A Cappella Championship. They’ve embodied stories both new and timeless, originating roles like John Crisdell in Chosen by Shari Umansky at Manhattan Repertory Theater.

Beyond the spotlight, Sean is a fierce believer in the artist’s responsibility to heal, challenge, and connect. At New York City Center, they collaborate with some of the industry’s finest talent, helping to shape the ever-evolving landscape of musical theatre and dance. For Sean, performance is not just an act—it is a reckoning, a ritual, a way to carve meaning from the chaos and leave something true behind.
